GENERAL MANAGER
We're picky. We're bringing Sledge to the historic Granbury Square, in A.P. Gordon's original building. It's a high-end, spirits-only cocktail bar with 100 seats and two bar stations, plus a coffee shop that opens at 7am for the early crowd. We need someone to run it like it's their own. Our crew works here because they want to be here. We need a leader who feels the same way. Here's what that means: 1. You lead by doing. You'll hire the crew, train them, and have their back. You'll also jump behind the bar when the line's out the door. Nobody's too important to bus a table. 2. You see a need and take care of it. Nobody's going to babysit you, and you won't babysit your team either. You'll set the standard and they'll follow it. 3. You can work nights and weekends. We're open until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. (Duh... but you'd be surprised!) What you'll be doing. • Running the whole show, from the first cup of coffee to last call. • Building a crew that welcomes every guest like they're coming home. • Keeping an eye on the numbers: sales, labor, inventory, pour cost, and cash. • Handling scheduling, ordering, and the day-to-day details that keep things running smooth. • Staying 100% TABC compliant. This one isn't optional. • Keeping the coffee side clean, safe, and up to health code. • Working with us on cocktail menus, events, and getting to know our neighbors on the square. • Staying in step with the distillery in Tolar and our weekend shuttle. What you'll bring. • At least 3 years of bar or restaurant management experience. Craft cocktail experience is a big plus. • A real love for spirits. • Comfort with Square for POS, plus scheduling and inventory. • TABC seller-server certification, or the ability to get it before you start. • Texas Certified Food Manager certification, preferred. • You must be 21 or older.
