COFFEE BARISTA
We're picky.
We're bringing Sledge to the historic Granbury Square, in A.P. Gordon's original building. It's a high-end, spirits-only cocktail bar with 100 seats and two bar stations, plus a coffee shop that opens at 7am for the early crowd. We need baristas who can make the square's first stop of the day the best part of somebody's morning. Our crew works here because they want to be here and we enjoy each other. There's no babysitter on staff to make sure you work hard. It's expected and has to come from inside you. Here's what we need: 1. You have fun working on a team. We will always have your back and trust you will have ours. 2. You see a need and take care of it. Line's getting long? Tables need wiping? Milk running low? You're already on it. (No babysitters here....) 3. You're a morning person. Or at least you can fake it until the first shot is pulled. We open at 7am, including Saturdays. What you'll be doing. • Pulling shots and making espresso drinks, drip, and specialty coffees that are consistent every time. • Greeting every guest like a regular, and remembering the ones who are. • Opening the shop: setting up, dialing in the grinder, and getting the pastry case ready. • Running the register on Square and handling cash accurately. • Keeping the bar, equipment, and dining area spotless and up to health code. • Helping guests learn about Sledge, the distillery, and our weekend shuttle. • Pitching in wherever the team needs you. What you'll bring. • Barista or coffee shop experience preferred. We'll train the right person. • A friendly, upbeat personality and a knack for conversation. • Ability to stay quick and calm when the morning rush hits. • Texas Food Handler certification, or the ability to get it before you start. • Ability to stand for a full shift and lift up to 40 lbs. • You must be 18 or older.
