We're picky.
We're bringing Sledge to the historic Granbury Square, in A.P. Gordon's original building. It's a high-end, spirits-only cocktail bar with 100 seats and two bar stations, plus a coffee shop that opens at 7am for the early crowd. We need bartenders who know their craft and treat every guest like they're coming home. Our crew works here because they want to be here and we enjoy each other. There's no babysitter on staff to make sure you work hard. It's expected and has to come from inside you. Here's what we need: 1. You have fun working on a team. We will always have your back and trust you will have ours. 2. You see a need and take care of it. Ice running low? Garnishes need prepping? A guest looking lost? Handle it. (No babysitters here....) 3. You must be able to work Friday and Saturday nights. (Duh....but you would be surprised!) What you'll be doing. • Crafting cocktails with care and consistency, from our signature menu to the classics. • Sharing the Sledge story and helping guests find the spirit that's right for them. • Serving responsibly: checking IDs every time and knowing when to cut someone off. • Running tabs and payments on Square and handling cash accurately. • Prepping syrups, garnishes, and the bar before service, and closing it down clean. • Keeping your station stocked, organized, and up to health code. • Pitching in wherever the team needs you. What you'll bring. • At least 1 year of bartending experience. Craft cocktail experience is a big plus. • A real love for spirits and a willingness to learn ours inside and out. • A warm personality and the ability to read a room. • TABC seller-server certification, or the ability to get it before you start. • Ability to stand for a full shift and lift up to 40 lbs. • You must be 21 or older. Your shifts. Evenings: 2:00pm–close Close: 9pm Mon–Thu, 10pm Fri–Sat Sunday: Closed Schedules are made a month in advance based on your availability.
